Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is concrete that's textured and colored to imitate natural materials such as slate and granite. We normally use integral color which is color that's added during mixing as opposed to being broadcast on the surface. Why? Eventually concrete gets chipped or popouts occur. This can happen from the many freeze and thaw cycles or from abuse. With integral color, these chips and popouts aren't as noticeable because the color is consistent throughout the thickness of the slab. There are two types of stamping, Seamless stamping and Patterned Stamping. Seamless stamping gives the appearance of one large piece of slate, granite, etc. Patterned stamping looks like the material was cut into smaller, individual pieces and placed. Properly installed stamped concrete can really enhance your outdoor living area as well as add value to your home. |
