Exposed Aggregate Concrete
Exposed aggregate concrete is another one our decorative concrete applications. When the concrete is poured and begins to set, a retarder is applied to the entire surface of the concrete. This allows all but the cement paste on top to continue hardening. The cement paste is then washed off which exposes the rock or gravel in the concrete mix. Exposed aggregate finish looks nice on just about any exterior surface including driveways, patios, sidewalks, and pool decks. It also makes for attractive borders along driveways or for accent designs within larger slabs. Integral color can also be added to further enhance the appearance with richer colors.
